Israel Adesanya and Deiveson Figueiredo are primed for their rematches.
Both winners successfully made weight in Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC 263, which takes place Saturday at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz.. Adesanya came in at 183.5 pounds because of his middleweight championship defense against Marvin Vettori. That is a rematch of the UFC on FOX 29 experience in April 2018 that Adesanya won by split decision.
At the co-main occasion, Figueiredo weighed at 125 pounds because of his flyweight championship rematch with Brandon Moreno. The two fought to a majority draw UFC 256 last December.
Vettori and Moreno weighed in at 184.5 pounds and 125 pounds to get their various bouts.
Figueiredo’s weigh-in was not without drama as he was the last fighter to hit the scales, arriving in the last moment of this designated weigh-in window. With the support of a hiding box, Figueiredo stripped down and successfully made championship weight.

Of the 28 fighters competing on Saturday’s card, there was one overlook, featherweight Steven Peterson. He weighed in 148.5 lbs because of his bout with Chase Hooper, 2.5 lbs within the limit. The bout will proceed in a catchweight with Peterson forfeiting 20 percent of his purse to Hooper.
