A professional climber and fitness vlogger Magnus Midtbo has been taking up a number of physically demanding military challenges lately on his YouTube channel, including the Marine Corps exercise test , as well as the Norwegian Special Forces combat testing .. Midtbo is reunited with a group US Marines at Camp Pendleton in a new video to learn more about the different fighting styles in combat situations.
The day begins with an assault course while wearing a 20-pound weighted vest (to “warm up”), followed by a half-mile run down to the beach. Gunnery Sergeant Torres guides Midtbo through the “Shamrock drill” where Marines do a series bodyweight exercises with their training partners. These include high crawls, burpees, and body drags over eight stations. Also, they practice punching and kicking.

A shallow water grappling fight sees Midtbo and his opponent on their knees in water. The goal is to subdue each other and gain control of the water. Midtbo wins his first round re
