June 15 (UPI) — A Colorado jury on Tuesday convicted Devon Erickson of murder in the 2019 shooting a Denver suburb high school, killing a single pupil.
Erickson, 20, has been found guilty of premature murder with extreme indifference, first-degree murder, conspiracy to perpetrate murder and 30 counts of criminal attempt of murder that was senile . )
He faces life in prison without the chance of parole for the shooting death of classmate Kendrick Castillo, 18, in May 2019 at STEM School Highlands Ranch. Erickson, who was 18 at the time, carried out the shooting fellow classmate Alec McKinney, who had been 16.
McKinney pleaded guilty to murder and several other fees and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and 38 decades last year.
