A 21-year-old Glendora man pleaded guilty Friday to felony destruction of government property in connection with his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia,

Hunter Ehmke was a part of large crowd outside Rotunda door on east side of Capitol building.

According to a U.S. District Court criminal complaint, an officer wearing riot gear was trying to keep the crowd under control. Ehmke called for others to go to a window ..

According to the complaint, the officer called for backup and told the crowd to return to their seats.

The complaint stated that Ehmke was seen punching the window by the officer and that he ran towards him shouting for him not to, To push Ehmke down, he used a shield and hit him in the lower body and upper left leg.

Ehmke fell when the officer shoved him with the shield again, according to the complaint.
