The multiverse is one the major themes of Phase 4 of the MCU. This is in addition to Earth-based stories, and space-centric adventures. Since before Avengers Endgame , we’ve explored the multiverse. However, the Phase 4 TV series and movies show the rules of multiverse and set the stage for future adventures. Doctor Strange , a pivotal movie , that explores the multiverse more than Spider-Man : No Way Home .

But in the process, Doctor Strange 2 unearths a big issue that reminds us of the awful Spider-Man plot holes that Sony and Marvel have yet to fix. several spoilers are below .

We knew that Multiverse of Madness would be set in the immediate aftermath of No Way Home, and we already discussed the various plot holes in the latest Spider-Man movie. The Spider-Man problem Doctor Strange presents is older. We have to go back in time to summer 2019 when Far From Home came out.

We explained the annoying issues that ruin the movie .. The MCU was then created. We’ll briefly recap the background of Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), and how confusing it was in the grand scheme.

Spider-Man: Far From Home’s plot holes

Far From Home reveals Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), had created an advanced defense system to protect Earth. He didn’t use the system against Thanos in Endgame Stark created drones that could fight Thanos’s armies. Iron Man didn’t call them. He made the EDITH glasses to Peter Parker (Tom Holland), despite not knowing if he would ever come back from being dusted.

Quentin Beck managed to find the time to gather together other Stark employees and plan to take over that technology.

All these Spider-Man events directly impact the following stories, and that’s how we end up with the unexpected Doctor Strange 2 connection.

We have to accept everything without explanation. These loose ends could be tied up by Sony and Marvel.

The Far from Home events have a huge impact on what happens in No Way Back .. Without Quentin Beck’s criminal acts in Far from Home ., you can’t have a No Way home story. Those stories are impossible without Tony Stark’s invention of all that technology.

In turn, multiverse events in No way home enhance Doctor Strange’s understanding and ability to deal with the multiverse. In all of this multiverse action Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), hears two words which will immediately make you think about Quentin Beck.

How does Quentin Beck connect to Doctor Strange 2?

Mysterio has died in Far from Home ,, or so we are led to believe. After a doctored clip of the murder, Peter Parker is facing murder charges in No Way Back .

But this is not what will make you squirm in Doctor Strange2 . It’s the two words that Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) utters, giving Strange a name for his home universe: Earth-616.

There’s nothing wrong. Earth-616 is what Marvel calls the primary reality in the comics. It’s now also the primary reality in the MCU
